Carrie is a teenager who leads a sheltered life and is brought up by her insanely religious mother, she's like a female Tom Cruise.
Carrie is the outsider at school and one day she is humiliated by classmates.
One girl (Susan Snell) feels ashamed of herself for taking part and convinces her boyfriend to take Carrie to the prom.
When it looks like Carrie is just about to be eventually accepted at school she faces her worst humiliation......and seeks revenge.
I like the way the story is told from different viewpoints, from Carrie, newspaper articles, letters and interviews, these mix the story together creating intrigue into evertything that happened.
For some reason i'd never read this before and it's a great starting point to Stephen King, with Carrie also being his first novel.
