Neverwhere - Neil Gaiman Having had Neverwhere, Good Omens and American Gods in my TBR, finally decided to read a Neil Gaiman book and what a great book i had missed out on.

Richard Mayhew leaves Scotland for a job in London (worst mistake he makes) one night while taking his fiancee out to dinner he finds an injured girl (Door) on the street and decides to help her much to his fiancees protests, unfortunately this also means that he suddenly ceases to exist for regular people.

He loses his house, his job and becomes real only to the characters inhabiting "London Below", people who are generally invisible and non-existent to the people of "London Above".

Whilst in "London Below" he must attempt to make sense out of it all (Islington becoming and angel, Earls Court being an underground train), find a way back, and help Door survive as she is hunted down by hired assassins.

The characters in the book are fantastic especially the assassins Mr Croup and Mr Vandemar and i can't wait to read more of Neil Gaimans books.
